Orlando Wetlands Park

Orlando Wetlands Park The Orlando Wetlands Park was established in 1987. Since that time it has become a favorite site for birders and bicyclists. The park is host to over 150 bird species. Come and enjoy the 18 miles of berm roads with excellent views of wading birds and waterfowl.

Late Winter and Spring are great times to see the colorful Wood Duck, American Bald Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, nesting Osprey, Great Blue Heron, and the comical and noisy Moorhen.

In addition to the wide variety of birds, the park is home to many types of interesting mammals, butterflies, amphibians and reptiles.

Early mornings and late afternoons are the best times to see White Tailed Deer, Raccoon and the playful Black Otter. Normal hours are from 7 A.M. to 1/2 hour before sunset, seven days a week.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: The park is closed from Nov 15 until January 31 each year.

The part is managed by the City of Orlando, Community & Youth Services Department and the Environmental Services Department.
