Highlands Hammock State Park - Sebring, Fl.


Highlands Hammock State Park was one of the original state parks in Florida. It contains over 4,694 acres of virgin hardwood and cypress swamp. The park offers eight short nature trails that provide access to viewing the park's 177 bird species and other wild life.

Walk or ride a bicycle along the 3.1 mile paved drive. The paved drive is actually a loop so you will eventually return to the beginning of you adventure. Along the drive you may see White-tailed deer, wild turkey, bobcats, pileated woodpeckers, and various songbirds during the season.

DIRECTIONS:

From U.S. Highway 27 south of Sebring, turn right on County Road 634. The park entrance is about 2.4 miles from the turn on to CR 634.
